| The roots of PCZero.Net go back to the mid 1980s. Several of us at Virginia Commonwealth University noticed that the same group of students were always in the computer lab any time it was open. All of us were just fascinated by the computers and the potential they had to offer. We taught ourselves how to maintain and repair the hardware out of necessity (and as is typical of students), lack of funds. We moved on to writing code, setting up hardware, and running several bulletin boards when they were all the rave. When the internet came to be, it was a natural progression for us to move into design and hosting of web sites. As time went by, our group dwindled with some of the VCU days friends moving on to other ventures, but those of us who remained have built a strong core group dedicated to quality and dependability in hosting and design at an affordable price. We know what it is like to be on a strict budget and yet have the need for the best products and services available.
